To maintain the longevity and beauty of your handcrafted Ceramics, it’s essential to follow these care guidelines:
- Washing instructions: Hand wash with soap in warm water. Do not place ceramics in a dishwasher.
- Handmade Craftsmanship: Each piece is handcrafted by skilled local artisans in limited edition quantities, reflecting our commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
- Locally Made with Care: Our handpicked artisans proudly produce these pieces using locally sourced materials, resulting in durable stoneware clay that stands the test of time.
- Surface Protection: The natural clay base may be slightly abrasive. To avoid scratching delicate surfaces, we recommend you to lift the pieces rather than pulling or pushing them across tables. Using tablecloths, mats, or coasters will help protect your surfaces.
- Gradual Heating: When heating pottery, ensure the temperature increases gradually to avoid thermal shock. Our ceramic items should not be heated in the oven or heated to more than 150°C. Never place cold pottery directly into a hot oven or on a stovetop.
- Stacking with Care: When stacking, do so gently. Avoid dropping or forcing pieces together, especially with thinner items like cups, as they are delicate and may chip under rough handling.
- Cutlery Marks: If you notice grey lines on your pottery from cutlery, these marks are from the metal utensils, not the glaze. They can easily be removed using a ceramic cleaner such as the "Bar Keeper’s Friend".
By following these care instructions, you’ll help your ceramics look beautiful for years to come.
